Driving through San Antonio anytime soon?

You may choose to not answer that text from your probation officer while your driving in San Antonio, unless you want to face fines of up to $200. On  Oct. 15, 2010 it officially became illegal to be texting and driving in San Antonio, with a 90-day warning period that ended in mid-January 2011.  Basically, drivers are permitted to make phone calls with wireless handheld devices, but nothing else. The University of Texas at San Antonio plans to enforce the city law on campus as well.
