Adult Drivers Education

Texas residents between 18 and 24 years of age must successfully complete a state accredited, 6-hour, adult driver ed program in order to apply for a driver’s license.
Individuals above 18 years of age who already possess a valid driver license from any separate U.S. administrated territory are not required to complete an adult driver education course in order to obtain a Texas driving license. However, it is recommended to take any additional training one may require. Adult education requires 6 hours of informative instruction, which may be accomplished online, or in a classroom setting.
